My family moved to Sudbury when I was 6 years old for many reasons, but above everything else, our excellent public schools. I went to Haynes Elementary School and Curtis Middle School. You can see me with my parents and our dog Shimmer at Haynes graduation on the left.
The incredible teachers and staff at Lincoln-Sudbury in particular had a profound effect on me in high school. Classes like World Crises and Philosophy shaped my interests, helped prepare me for college, and gave me soft skills that would be crucial for my eventual career.
After I graduated from LS, I went to Brandeis University, where I developed a keen interest in public policy. While there, I met and interned for State Representative Carmine Gentile, beginning my career in public service.
After I graduated from Brandeis, I worked for a human services trade group, doing legislative advocacy for nonprofits that assist vulnerable populations including children.
Currently, I work as the sole staffer for Rep. Gentile, who represents Sudbury and half of Lincoln. My most important work involves researching, drafting, and filing legislation, advising the Representative on the issues, and assisting our constituents who need help. Through this job, I have had the opportunity to meet so many of my neighbors in both towns and listen to them talk about their priorities and concerns.
My career has also given me a unique background that help the Committee do its work. Whether it's state grants, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education guidance, or the Fair Share amendment, I know how to navigate State government.
Since joining the Committee in May 2023, I have:
I was honored to be selected as Vice-Chair of the Committee in my first year, and to serve as the current Chair of the Committee.
